Riel Industrial Park is located west of the village, bounded by PH No. 75, and has been identified for light industrial development.

This summer work on the infrastructure - sewer, water, natural gas, electricity, telephone - started on 13 out of 58 lots. An access road will also be built.

RIEL Industrial Park is strategically located at the intersection of highway 75 and provincial road 305. Highway 75 is a four lane highway to the U.S. border (Minnesota / North Dakota), while # 305 is a Provincial Trunk Highway. Highway 75 is part of the Mid-Canada Trade Corridor. The government is planning major improvements to the trade corridor (infrastructure and technology) that will reduce the time it takes to transport goods between the Canadian, American and Mexican trade centres. To the extreme west of the RIEL Park is the Canadian National Railway which is ideal for import/export purposes.
RIEL Park is 25 minutes from the centre of Winnipeg, 30 minutes from the Winnipeg airport and 45 minutes to the US boundary. Provincial road 200 is located to the east of the Red River and is a secondary road to Winnipeg. PTH 305 gives Sainte-Agathe access to highway 59 which is also a direct route to the United States. 13 of the 58 lots in RIEL Park are ready for development. The first business resident is ready to begin construction.

Mandate

RIEL Park is under the umbrella of Sainte-Agathe Community Development Inc. which is a not-for-profit organisation. The Corporation has as its mandate the economic and cultural development of the community, the village of Sainte-Agathe.

Sainte-Agathe is a village where you can find "la joie de vivre". The village consists of relatively flat land that is ideal for development. It has considerable agricultural settlements, agro/commercial industries and stretches along the Red River. It benefits for a continental climate : a hot summer, beautiful fall, short spring and… winter ! It has excellent potential for residential, recreational and retirement facilities. Sainte-Agathe is ideally located and has the infrastructure for industrial, commercial and transportation related developments. It has a good water source, a sewer and natural gas system.
